Door County Firefighters Win $775,000 Grant
(WASHINGTON, D.C.) The Ephraim Volunteer Fire Department has received a $773,000 grant from the Homeland Security Department. The grant will benefit 10 fire departments in Door County, Congressman Steve Kagen, M.D. announced today.
The grant will be used to purchase radio and other equipment to significantly improve countywide communications among Door County fire departments, says Chris Hecht, Chief of the Sister Bay-Liberty Grove Fire Department.
The grant was awarded through the Homeland Security Department’s Assistance to Firefighters Grants program.
