Arbor Vitae Fire Rescue Receives $166,000 Fire Rescue Squad to Purchase Pump Truck

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) The Arbor Vitae Fire Rescue Department has received a $166,253 grant from the Homeland Security Department, Congressman Steve Kagen, M.D. announced today.

The Arbor Vitae Fire Rescue Department will use the grant to purchase a mini-pumper truck. It upgrades and replaces a 22 year old piece of equipment.

“I want to thank the men and women of the Arbor Vitae Fire Rescue Department for the important work they do every day. The equipment they are buying with this grant means they will be able to serve our community better. I ’m proud of their service,” says Congressman Kagen.

The grant was made under the Department of Homeland Security Assistance to Firefighters Grants program.
