$101,800 For Boulder Junction Fire Department Fire Rescue Squad to Upgrade Radios, Equipment

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) The Boulder Junction Fire Department has received a $101,824 grant from the Homeland Security Department, Congressman Steve Kagen, M.D. announced today.

The grant will be used to upgrade radio communications equipment and outfit the fire house with vehicle exhaust removal system. The department needed to upgrade its communications equipment by 2012.

“The men and women of the Boulder Junction Fire Department are better able to do their job thanks to this award. I want to thank them for the service they do every day,” says Congressman Kagen.

The grant was made under the Department of Homeland Security Assistance to Firefighters Grants program.
